📸 My Everyday Carry Gear

Whether I’m on the streets of SoHo or deep in the mountains of Thailand, my gear has to deliver. Photography to me USED to be about what gear I had compared to the next person... however, I saw something at one point that changed my view. When I was scrolling endlessly on social media like we all tend to do, I saw someone say "the best lens is the one you use". That rang so true to me... having bought lenses and gear that has sat on a shelf... finding myself coming back to specific gear over and over... I generally don't even post what gear I use for shots I post on social anymore unless it's a group requirement for a FB group, etc.

It's about the shot... that moment... what you portray, how the viewer can relive that exact moment... be it 1/5,000 of a second, or a long exposure... if you want to know, sure... i'll tell ya (no secrets here) - but i'd rather you enjoy what I do and that's what i've captured.

Tripods & Heads: I rotate between tripods — my newest is a Geekoto carbon fiber travel model. however, also own gear from Gitzo, Vanguard, Benro, PhotoPro, Really Right Stuff, and Peak Design. I'll break these down along with heads I use at a later date.

Bags? My main carry is the Peak Design 35L McKinnon with the Luma 18L for light days, alongside a few Wandrd and Vanguard options.
