Image Use & Copyright

All photographs on scottjonesphotos.com and in client galleries are created by and remain the property of Scott Jones Photography. Copyright is retained by Scott Jones in every image, whether viewed, downloaded or purchased.

What you may do (personal-use licence)

When you receive or purchase images from your gallery, you get a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use them for personal, non-commercial purposes, including:

Printing for yourself, family and friends.
Sharing on your personal social media, with credit to Scott Jones Photography (tag @scott_jones_photography where possible).
Using them as personal wallpapers, albums and keepsakes.

What you may not do without written permission

Sell, license, sublicense or otherwise distribute the images, or use them in any commercial, promotional or editorial context (including business social accounts, advertising, websites, book covers or merchandise).
Edit, crop beyond simple framing, apply filters, or otherwise alter the images, or remove any watermark, signature or credit.
Submit the images to contests or publications, or claim them as your own work.
Use the images, in whole or in part, to train, fine-tune or prompt any artificial-intelligence or machine-learning system.

Prints

Personal printing at a lab of your choice is allowed for the sizes you were given. Large-format or commercial printing requires written permission.

People in the photos

Images are delivered for the personal use of the client. Any use involving the people pictured beyond personal use may require their consent; that is your responsibility.

Watermarks and previews

Gallery previews may be watermarked or limited in size. Downloading, screen-capturing or copying previews to avoid purchase or licensing is not permitted.

Unauthorised use of these images infringes copyright. If you see one of our images used without permission, please let us know at scott@scottjonesphotos.com.
